Recommended Skin Treatment:
Variable Pulsed Light (VPL)
Rosacea affects over 45 million people worldwide. Symptoms include flushing or persistent redness, bumps and pimples, and visible blood vessels.
While most people are not affected by more than simple redness or flushing of the face, rosacea can progress and additional skin symptoms may develop.
Occasionally, patients with rosacea can develop additional symptoms such as burning, stinging or itching; a rough, dry appearance; raised red patches; thickening of the skin; rhinophyma, or enlargement of the nose (typically affects men more than women); and swelling. Symptoms may also develop on the neck, chest, scalp or ears.
The Korock Center recommends
VPL laser therapy for the treatment of rosacea. VPL therapy is extremely effective in reducing the appearance of rosacea by removing visible blood vessels, reducing redness or correcting thickened skin.
VPL is not a cure for rosacea, but in most cases tremendous results are achieved. VPL therapy can be used in conjunction with oral or topical medications or treatments prescribed by your dermatologist.
